 Why is it important to purchase a Motor Vehicle Permit?  

Most people are not aware that there are no dedicated local taxes to provide funds to operate your county park system.  MetroParks is responsible for maintaining over 3,000 acres of land in Butler County.  It is expensive to mow grass, shovel snow, maintain shelters and playgrounds, clear trails, make patrols, and many more things to keep your parks clean and safe when you visit.  So when you purchase an MVP, you help us make these things happen. 

 We hope you appreciate our efforts to keep expenses to a minimum while maximizing your fun.    

 Motor Vehicle Permits are required in all parks in the MetroParks of Butler County system.  Permits can be purchased from park staff at the parks; on-line on our website; or from the Administrative Headquarters during office hours.  Permits purchased on-line or by mail-in request will be mailed to you within 5 business days of your purchase.
